About Me
The Short(er) Story of My Life
In my life I have worn many different hats. In my opinion I have been lucky that way. My father might tell you that I am a jack of all trades and a master of none. Others, especially my friends, would say that I am a true renaissance man. In truth, I just like to stay busy and when I can and do my best. That may be playing the guitar or writing songs, studying Shoshoni or Ancient Greek, or writing yet another program to do something obscure (usually with language). Hopefully, the end result reveals my competency in what I do. I have worked as a busboy, breakfast cook, beer tender, printer, artist, website designer, car mechanic, preacher, teacher, musician, songwriter, motorcycle mechanic, apartment manager, photographer, and linguist. And before I forget, the mayor of a coffee shop community! My major careers have been in the automotive/motorcycle industries and currently as a computational linguist. My major interests outside of career have been books, music, photography, and computers. Those who know me best would tell you that what I do for fun looks a much like what I do for work. I hope that's because I enjoy whatever I'm doing. I have only a few regrets and fortunately for me, they're not big ones.
